Club Volleyball Program 2025-26

Welcome to VAC club volleyball program. Each team will consist of minimum of 9 players and up to (coaches discretion). These teams will be operated by individual coaches and fees will be assessed based on the programming selected by each coach. Some teams will be participating in Volleyball Alberta premiers and provincials and others will be playing in tournaments and exhibitions. A tryout process will be used to select the team. Days will be posted on the website and/or sent out by the coaches as to when tryouts will be. The majority of the tryouts will happen in the fall with a secondary tryout in winter if needed. 

IN ORDER TO TRYOUT:

STEP 1: Use the following PDF guide to register your son or daughter for tryouts. 

*PLEASE NOTE: The Youth Development Player – Tryout membership must be purchased by going to the Volleyball Alberta Membership Portal – click to “Register to Volleyball Alberta” as shown in the screenshot above. This membership is for athletes to participate in a tryout. Once selected to a team that will participate in club hosted tournaments, premiers, provincials, or national events, this membership will need to be upgraded to the Competitive Player membership and added to their club’s Sportlomo portal for the season. https://www.volleyballalberta.ca/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Youth-Player-Registation-Guide-2026-2026.pdf

Step 2: There is a tryout fee collected by volleyball Alberta that is non refundable. 

Step 3: Please fill out the Vikings Athletic Club Tryout form. (To speed up the tryout registration process).

Notice to Tryout:

Athletes are allowed to try out for a division above, however they must tryout in their own age group as well. Athletes must inform coaches on both teams the intention to tryout for a higher level. An athlete will not be allowed to tryout in an older age grouping if it affects the team in their own age classification. Coaches reserve the right to not allow an athlete to tryout in a higher division. There will be a non-refundable fee of $250 when the LOI is signed. This fee will be part of your season fees.
